Identification of the Data Controller
DATA CONTROLLER: Beta Home, Mediação e Investimentos Imobiliários, Lda., with headquarters at Avenida Amália Rodrigues, Nº 26, Loja 1, 2620-520 Ramada, Tax ID Nº 515 125 458, holder of AMI license Nº 26522, hereinafter referred to simply as “the Company”;
DATA SUBJECT: any natural person who accesses the website www.betahome.pt or who submits data through the available contact forms, hereinafter referred to simply as “the User.”
The Company has not formally appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), given the nature and scope of its activities, in accordance with Article 37 of the GDPR. For questions related to privacy and data protection, please contact: geral@betahome.pt.
1. Personal Data Collected
1.1 Contact Forms
- Full name;
- Email address;
- Phone number (optional);
- Message entered by the user;
- URL of the property of interest (if applicable);
- Preferred date for the visit (if applicable).
The submitted data is sent via email to geral@betahome.pt and stored in the email inbox until the reason for contact has been clarified.
This data may be shared exclusively with Beta Home employees.
The hosting service includes automatic backups for a period of 30 days.
1.2 Browsing Data
When a User accesses the Website, technical browsing data is automatically collected, including IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages visited, time spent on the site, and traffic source. This data is collected in aggregate form through Google Analytics.
2. Purpose and Legal Basis for Data Processing
Contact forms:
- Purpose: to respond to requests for information, schedule visits, and provide real estate brokerage services;
- Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures at the User’s request (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR) and/or consent pursuant to (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
Analytics data:
- Purpose: statistical analysis of traffic to improve the browsing experience;
- Legal basis: the User’s consent, provided via the cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
3. Data Retention Period
Personal data is retained for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and for the period required by law.
- Form data: for the duration of the contact’s management and thereafter for the applicable statutory limitation period;
- Analytics data (Google Analytics 4): up to 14 months by default
Once the retention period has expired, the data will be securely deleted or anonymized, unless otherwise required by law.
4. Sharing Data with Third Parties
The Company does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
The data may be shared exclusively:
- With technology service providers that support the operation of the Website, who are contractually bound by confidentiality and security obligations;
- With public authorities, when required by law or by court order.
4.1 Subcontractors and International Transfers
- Google LLC (Google Analytics): processing of analytics data; transfers under the Standard Contractual Clauses. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- Web hosting provider: GlobalServices Lda., located in Portugal.
- Microsoft (Outlook): storage of email communications.
5. Rights of Data Subjects
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access: obtain confirmation regarding the processing and access the data;
- Correction: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Deletion: Request the deletion of your data (Article 17 of the GDPR);
- Restriction: Request that processing be suspended under certain circumstances;
- Portability: receiving data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Objection: to object to treatment under certain circumstances;
- Withdrawal of consent: at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing that took place prior to the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, the User may contact the Company at geral@betahome.pt, specifying the right they wish to exercise and providing proof of identity.
The User also has the right to file a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt.
6. Data Security
The Company implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:
- HTTPS protocol with an SSL/TLS certificate;
- Restricted access to data by employees who need to know it;
- Up-to-date software and measures to protect against unauthorized access.
The Company undertakes to notify the CNPD and the affected data subjects in the event of a data breach, in accordance with the terms and deadlines set forth in the GDPR.

7.1 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on the User’s device when they visit a website. They allow the website to recognize the device and store certain information about preferences or previous actions.

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled.
- wordpress_*, wp-settings-*: Website functionality. Duration: session.
- cookie_consent: Records the user’s choice regarding cookies. Duration: 12 months.
b) Cookies de Desempenho e Análise
They collect information about the use of the Website. They are activated only with the User’s consent.

The website is available in multiple languages (Portuguese and English, with the possibility of adding others in the future). In the event of any discrepancy between language versions, the Portuguese version shall prevail.

The Company reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, along with the date of the update. We recommend that you check this page regularly.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by applicable Portuguese and European law, specifically:
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR);
- Law No. 58/2019, of August 8;
- Law No. 41/2004, of August 18;
- Decree-Law No. 7/2004, dated January 7.
Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the District of Lisbon.
